Richard Lennox is a fast emerging classical crossover artist. A virtuoso Musician who plays everything from Bach to the Beatles, Musical Theatre to Rock and Roll and just about everything else in between, as Master Of The Keys he holds a phenomenal stage presence with the technical ability to truly entertain.

Both recording artist and live performer, Richard optimises on his creative juices, bridging the gap between different genres of music whether it be a rousing pop song or traditional classical arrangements. Unique in his talent, he encompasses playing piano, organ, keyboards, double bass, composing and arranging; all with an infectious enthusiasm.

Primarily self taught, Richard has worked in most genres of the music industry; from accompanying choirs, singers, instrumentalists to writing and arranging. Combined with his ability as a multi keyboard instrumentalist, Richard breaks the boundaries of the Classical Crossover world, incorporating his stunning musical creations into unique Concert/Show and Recording formats.

Working extensively in Theatre, Cabaret and major concert venues across the UK and Europe including the world famous Royal Albert Hall – he is no stranger to guest spots in the UKs Cathedrals,  Delighting venues and audiences alike with the Lennox spin to piano and organ performance.

It’s clear he has been influenced by Artist’s such as Rick Wakeman, Nigel Kennedy, Andre Rieu, David Garrett and 70’s Rock band ‘SKY’.

Richard retains incredible integrity in the music whether playing standard repertoire or crossover arrangements of popular masterpieces.

He is the all round performer for any occasion from the concert stage, arena or corporate event.

PIANO AND ORGAN.

Richard is Pianist/Organist for the Annual Royal Albert Hall Prom Praise concerts presented by Langham Arts.

Highlights include the Warsaw concerto, Louis Vierne’s finale from the 1st Organ Symphony, Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, Boellman’s Gothic Toccata and Saint Saens Organ symphony.

He was Accompanist for the Worle chorale tour, Budapest in August 2019.

 

RECITALS AND CONCERTS.

He made his debut for Crewkerne Arts Week in July 2019 with a piano and organ recital.

Lunchtime Recital, All Saints church, Weston. July 2018.

He has developed a New Classless Classical crossover concert format of which he gave the first performance at Milton Baptist church, Weston Super Mare, also performing with guest artists.

He has his fourth concert in October 2019.

He gives regular concerts at the Cornerstone Methodist church, Southend.

He has performed 3 recent Organ Recitals at Wells Cathedral, October 2014, June 2015 and 2017. 2018 was a shared lunchtime recital accompanying baritone Marcus Evans.

He was Guest artist in the Music of the Great War charity concert at St Georges, Bristol, November 2016.

He took on a stage role in the operatic musical ‘I want to sing in opera’ performed at the Lancaster Grand and Fairfield Halls Ashcroft theatre.

Promoted by world concert artists March 2015.

His concerto work includes Brahms 2nd piano concerto with the Bristol classical players at St Georges Bristol in 2015.

Piano Soloist in Tchaikovsky’s 1st Piano concerto at Bristol’s Victoria rooms with the Brunel Sinfonia orchestra, 2013.

He is the Accompanist for choral societies in Weston Super Mare, Clevedon and Portishead both for rehearsals and concerts.

He is Accompanist and soloist for the Weston Light Orchestra.

 

CABARET

His cabaret concerts include a series of concerts performing evenings of Popular Piano Classics, Films and Musicals as well as one evening of paying tribute to various Piano Legends at the Blakehay theatre, Weston Super Mare.

Cinema Organ. The last 4 years have seen Richard  give 4 concerts at the Curzon Cinema, Clevedon for the Christmas programme playing the Christie Organ in concert and for silent films.
